Tiedemann Park and Nature Center
Tucked away just a few blocks from downtown, Tiedemann Park and Nature Center offers a wealth of resources to the local community. Featuring a playground and nature center for children, a large field for dogs, a basketball court for all who dribble and dunk, and an ample array of flowers. For anyone ambling by, Tiedemann Playground is truly a gem of The Peninsula. The on-site nature center features reptile and amphibian displays and hosts environmental education programs for children. In 2012 and 2013 The Conservancy installed a bioswale featuring abundant water-loving plants like the swamp sunflower and swamp hibiscus, and in the spring of 2014, The Conservancy created an urban wildlife garden to make these spaces more beautiful, colorful, and inviting.
