Originally from Rhode Island, Ali moved to Charleston 5 years ago to pursue her career in Event Management. Prior to moving here she worked at a sports marketing company executing large-scale professional golf tournaments, food festivals, galas, leadership summits and more. This kicked off her love of events and taking an idea and bringing it to life. After moving to Charleston, she continued to work in events at The Post and Courier for 4 years before making the switch to a non-profit in hopes of putting her efforts towards something that gives back to the community and Charleston.
With a strong interest in gardening, sustainability, health and wellness and the outdoors, this position was a natural fit for Alison. She’s looking forward to learning more about the parks and contributing to the conservancy’s mission through events and shared experiences. In her free time Alison can be found tending to her 25+ houseplants, trying out new recipes, shopping at the farmers market or reading a book at her favorite brewery.
