This park is one of the four quadrants of Hampstead Mall, named after Sister Mary Conway and diagonally across from Philip Simmons Park. Sister Maigread Conway, O.S.F. ministered to the greater Charleston community for over 30 years. She educated children and adults, fed and clothed the poor, visited the imprisoned, obtained housing for the homeless, befriended and assisted senior citizens, and offered relief to those in distress.

Inspired by park plans created by Trident Technical College Horticulture students, this park was upgraded in the Fall and Winter of 2022 by the City of Charleston Parks Department and the Conservancy. Large, mature oaks, shaded pergolas with seating, and a bubbling fountain make this park a welcome place for students and neighbors to enjoy shade and respite.
