Courtenay Square is a historic mini park located on Meeting Street on the peninsula. It is right on the corner of Meeting and Wentworth Streets, surrounded by Fire Station 2/3. It features a gazebo and several benches, as well as tall palmetto trees and beautiful shrub and flower displays. Courtenay Square was named for William Ashmead Courtenay who was the mayor of Charleston from 1879 to 1888.
