November Park Angel of the Month: Blackbaud Volunteer Group

Each year, park lovers volunteer in Charleston’s parks as part of Trident United Way’s annual Day of Caring. This year, seven volunteers from Blackbaud spent the day with the Conservancy at two of our gardens: Magnolia Community Garden in West Ashley and Medway Community Garden on James Island. This local volunteer group didn’t mind one bit getting their hands dirty, earning them the title of our November Park Angels of the Month! Over the course of the day, these Blackbaud volunteers made tremendous progress in the gardens, spreading mulch, pruning, and weeding—all while sharing laughs and having a great time. Volunteers also installed over a dozen frost covers to protect the garden beds from the upcoming winter frosts.
These angels even went above and beyond, allowing us to have a “Charlie’s Angels” themed photo-shoot at the end of the day! Thanks again, Blackbaud Park Angels, for helping care for Charleston’s public parks and community gardens.
