New Program Announcement! Garden Bed of the Month

It is such an exciting time of year to be in the garden! We are preparing our beds and planning for Fall. We are planting a second round of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers, as well as seeding our greens—lettuce, kale, and collards—in our Magnolia Community Garden greenhouse. Now on to some big news. Drum roll please. We are implementing a new program called “Garden Bed of the Month”! Each month, one garden bed in each of our three Community Gardens will be highlighted and celebrated for the gardener’s hard work. We will select our Garden Bed of the Month based on the beauty and health of the plants and a weed-free environment. Creativity in trellising and garden art is a big plus! If you love your garden bed and it shows, then we will love it too!
