Go Local
In recent years we’ve seen a surge in communities supporting their local businesses. After years of flooding the big box stores, more folks are shopping at their local boutiques, toy stores, book stores and hitting the farmers markets and craft fairs.
Locally, Lowcountry Local First has been a staunch proponent of local businesses – and local buying. As members of this organization, we truly support the effort. Working in city parks is about as local as you can get. So, just in time for the holiday shopping season, we urge you to join in Buy Local Month, which runs through Dec. 15.
If you’d like to support the Conservancy, shop our online store for great gifts, including T-shirts, hats, hoodies, picnic blankets and coffee mugs. Shop now through Dec. 15 and get a 10% discount on your order with coupon code FALL4PARKS. All purchases help fund our efforts.
Also, consider a membership to the Conservancy – an excellent gift for the park lover in your life.
We’d love to hear how you’re planning to support local businesses and organizations over the next month. Are you shifting a portion (or all) of your holiday spending to local buying?
