Teddy Bear Picnic
The Teddy Bear Picnic is a fun-filled day of live music, educational activities centered around the environment, health, and literacy, crafts, face painting, games, and a parade. Families come together in Hampton Park toenjoy a picnic lunch, fun activities for all ages, and the opportunity to spend a wonderful afternoon in the park. Best of all, this family-friendly event is FREE to attend! Partnering with The Conservancy for Teddy Bear Picnic offers businesses the opportunity to showcase their brand and align themselves with a large community event. Each sponsorship is tailored to meet the needs and objectives of corporate partners and benefits are commensurate with giving levels.
Picnic for the Parks
Pack up your kiddos, grab a picnic blanket and join us for the ultimate park-inspired birthday bash. Join us for a series of fun and interactive activity stations, that include inspiring crafts, face painting, fun games, tasty treats, great music, and libations (for the adults!).
Party for the Parks
Each year, the Conservancy strives to enhance the theme and design for Party for the Parks while increasing our impact in the community by highlighting our great partnerships. Guests wonder, “how will they top this next year?” Our 14th-year celebration will have park lovers dancing in the streets as music and entertainment abound at Colonial Lake. This year’s event will feature premier Charleston restaurants and vendors providing a variety of delicious food and beverages for all. Additionally, spectacular scenery and top-notch entertainment will make for a sensational evening.Party for the Parks continues to be one of the most popular events in the Charleston region with 1,200 attendees each year from the Charleston area and beyond.
Light the Lake
Kick the holiday season off with the Conservancy’s Light the Lake at Colonial Lake. This year will be our biggest with special holiday performances, a holiday village featuring food trucks, adult and children’s beverages and cookies. Finally, bundle up and enjoy a movie on the big screen next to the Lake. The Lake will be aglow with beautiful luminaries that can be purchased for loved ones. Light the Lake is a free community event supporting our mission to connect people to their parks.
Shucked and Sauced
The Charleston Parks Conservancy will host its third annual Oyster, Seafood and BBQ celebration at the Rose Pavilion at Hampton Park on Sunday, February 4, 2024. This quintessential Lowcountry affair will showcase the best of land and sea in one of Charleston’s most iconic parks. Park lovers and foodies come out and enjoy oysters from favorite oyster farmers paired with some of Charleston’s top seafood restaurateurs and get [BBQ] sauced with local pitmasters, all while enjoying libations and live music under the oaks. Shucked + Sauced will feature local vendors and tickets are $175 per person. Our last event sold out with 400 attendees!
