Fundraising Highlights – 1Q 2025

Shucked & Sauced
Shucked and Sauced is officially BACK. In 2024, the Conservancy decided to revive a beloved pre-COVID event by bringing back Shucked and Sauced and were pleasantly surprised by the community’s support. That support multiplied this year with a beautiful, SOLD OUT, foodie day at Hampton Park – all in support of the Charleston Parks Conservancy’s mission. We saw a 40% increase in both sponsorship dollars and ticket sales this year – a substantial one-year increase.

Picnic for the Parks
The Conservancy is further thrilled to report that thanks to our dedicated Picnic for the Parks committee, we have raised over $60,000 in sponsorships in the first quarter of the year – $15,000 more than last year! These early sponsorship commitments allow us to not only create a memorable event, but funds our work program in the first half of the year. Finally, an early sponsorship commitment ensures sponsors receive the full benefits of the Conservancy’s robust marketing campaign.
This would not have been possible without the support of our hardworking Picnic for the Parks committee, co-chaired by Alex Malloy and Lauren Netter. These ladies tirelessly engage their networks to support the Conservancy’s mission through an event sponsorship and attendance and have helped grow this event annually to become a must attend Spring event in our parks. Thank you to the Picnic for the Parks Committee, including: Katie Brennan, Abby Harding Lipsey, Elizabeth Hunter, Annika Moffett, Markey Mossman, Michaela Muller, Jessica Perkal, Russell Powell, Kensey Rabun, Martina Radic, Laura Raffle and Alison Schmidt.
Picnic for the Parks will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the Rose Pavilion at Hampton Park.
