Installation of Mulberry Food Forest

April 2 @ 9:00 am - April 6 @ 11:00 am

We are so excited to finally get started installing plants at the new site of the Mulberry Food Forest – and we want you to join us!
The Mulberry Food Forest is located in the Ardmore neighborhood in West Ashley, near the West Ashley Bikeway. Thanks to a grant from the South Carolina Forestry Commission, this new Food Forest will be the first of its kind in South Carolina. Food trees, shrubs, and ground cover will be grown in this public park where everyone will have access to reap the benefits!
Volunteers can join Charleston Parks Conservancy and City of Charleston staff onsite for planting days the first week of April.
WHEN: Tuesday, April 2, Wednesday, April 3, and Thursday, April 4 from 9-11am, Saturday, April 6 from 8am-11am
WHERE: The Mulberry Food Forest is located in Mulberry Pond Park at 1680 Mulberry St., Charleston, South Carolina
HOW TO GET INVOLVED: We ask that volunteers please sign up before joining us so we can plan based on how many people are attending. You can view the shifts and sign up here: https://bttr.im/4n0fh
The Conservancy will provide all necessary tools and directions on site. Please wear closed-toed shoes, clothes to get dirty in and bring plenty of water. Please note that this will be strenuous work.
