The first in a four-part series, this session will take you through a lowcountry garden in winter. Learn about the plants that are blooming throughout Hampton Park and how to care for them. Winter is also the best time to clear and design new spaces. We will talk through the design process and what we work on in January and February.

This quarterly series teaches homeowners how to design beautiful Lowcountry gardens while highlighting the seasonal beauty of the parks. The series will bring homeowners out to different parks around the city to show them what is in bloom each season, offer a description of that season’s maintenance, and show the public the amazing work the Conservancy is doing.

This series connects the community with their parks by showing them how they can take what we are doing and bring it into their home gardens. This series also comes with a planting spreadsheet that shows when plants are in bloom and offers a plant list relevant to each talk.
