DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON COMMUNITY SWEEP SERIES: EASTSIDE COMMUNITY LITTER SWEEP

Join the Eastside 2nd Saturday Sweep team, National Park Service, International African American Museum, Charleston Parks Conservancy, and the South Carolina Aquarium for a litter sweep in the Eastside neighborhood! We’ll meet at the southwest corner of Columbus St. and America St. in Hampstead Mall Park, near the statue of blacksmith Phillip Simmons. From there we’ll clean up the streetscape in the surrounding neighborhood.

All supplies and instructions will be provided to conduct a litter sweep with data collection. Please bring a reusable water bottle and dress for the weather including closed-toe shoes. Afterwards, enjoy pizza and refreshments for all participants and a chance to connect with staff from partner organizations and community members!
