Earn Your Park Angel Wings This Summer

Have you been looking for the right opportunity to give back to your Charleston parks? Then look no further! You are invited to join us this summer at Colonial Lake for Weeding Wednesday! Weeding Wednesday is a great way to get involved with the Charleston Parks Conservancy for those who have traditional 9 AM to 5 PM schedules. Every second Wednesday from May through August the Charleston Parks Conservancy and the Park Angels will take to Colonial Lake to get their hands dirty.
During the summer months, the extra warmth and rain bring out an onslaught of pesky weeds to Colonial Lake. We need volunteers like you to help one of Charleston’s favorite parks stay beautiful.
“It’s a lot of fun,” says Rachel Barry, Volunteer Coordinator at the Charleston Parks Conservancy. “This is our third year of Weeding Wednesday. Our volunteers are excited when this series comes back around. It’s not only a great way to give back, but a great way to meet and socialize with all of our volunteers.”
Weeding Wednesday is the perfect opportunity to volunteer with us and earn your Park Angel wings. Sign up for all or any one of our Weeding Wednesday dates from now until August here. All are welcome.
