Do Something Nice in the Parks
There’s just something about this time of year that puts us in a collective good mood. The fall season is filled with terrific outdoor activities and events. Sampling pumpkin lattes and apple crisp are practically required. We know the holidays are just around the corner. We just can’t help feeling good.
With that in mind – and the fact “Do Something Nice Day” is Friday – we invite you to do something nice for your local parks. We are busy getting our parks and flower beds ready for the fall season and could use your help! Plus, it’s a great way to get some fresh air and exercise.
We have several opportunities coming up, including Garden in the Park events at Windermere Boulevard Community Garden, Chapel Street Fountain Park, Hazel Parker Playground, Corrine Jones Park, Allan Park and Cannon Park.
No gardening experience is needed. Our staff horticulturists will show you just what to do – plus you can get some great gardening tips to use in your own flower beds and yards.
If you can’t join us to Garden in the Park, make a donation or check out our Get Involved page for other volunteer opportunities.
So, won’t you do something nice and garden in the parks with us?
