December 2019 Park of the Month: Marion Square

Beginning this month, one of Charleston’s busiest parks will host a series of seasonal events you won’t want to miss. Marion Square is home to the magnificent 64-foot Christmas tree which will be on display each night throughout the holidays and is the perfect place to visit to put your family in the Christmas spirit.
The Charleston Holiday Market will return Saturdays and Sundays in December from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, capping off the end of the 2019 Charleston farmers market season. The holiday market features year-long farmers market vendors and seasonal holiday vendors who specialize in bringing holiday cheer to you and your family, including the one and only Mr. and Mrs. Claus!
Later in the month, The Chanukah in the Square celebration will take place on December 22nd from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, featuring the lighting of the nine-foot Menorah to begin the celebration of the Jewish holiday.
And finally, a New Year’s celebration in Marion Square will take place on December 31st from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, bidding farewell to 2019 with family-friendly activities, live music, food trucks, and more for all to enjoy!
