Charleston Parks Conservancy Adds Horticulturist to Staff

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Kellen Goodell has joined the Charleston Parks Conservancy as a horticulturist, maintaining plantings in the city’s parks and green spaces and organizing volunteers for Garden in the Parks events.

Goodell grew up in Clearwater, Fla., and has a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from the University of Florida. He previously interned at Moore Farms in Lake City, S.C., working in the botanical garden and the organic farm.

Goodell lives in downtown Charleston and enjoys cycling, reading, playing guitar and cheering on the Florida Gators and the Tampa Bay Rays.
