Bring Your Teddy Bears to Hampton Park for Family Fun

Don’t miss one of the year’s most-loved family events: the Teddy Bear Picnic. The Charleston Parks Conservancy’s Park Angels are hosting the fifth event from 1-3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 9 in Hampton Park, 30 Mary Murray Drive, Charleston.

Pack a picnic, bring a blanket and grab your favorite teddy bear for an afternoon of free fun in the park. Food will be available for purchase (hot dogs, hamburgers, King of Pops and ice cream) or bring your own blanket and picnic.

Activities include face painting, seed planting, cookie decorating, crafts and a Teddy Care Station for “injured” bears. John Cusatis will provide music and other entertainment will include hula hooping with Homespun Hoops and hip hop dancing with Peace Love Hip Hop. The afternoon wraps up with a teddy bear parade. View a map of the event layout.

Don’t forget to bring check or card for our silent auction. Items include a membership to Charles Towne Landing, gift certificates, toys and much more.

We can’t wait to see you — and your teddy bears — there!
