Sydney grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and came to Charleston on a volleyball scholarship where she fell in love with Charleston. After receiving her Associates in Horticulture from Trident Technical College, Sydney went on to pursue a plethora of horticultural avenues.
With her experience in greenhouse growing, garden maintenance, floristry, garden retail, and volunteer management, Sydney joined the Charleston Parks Conservancy in September of 2023. Her love of creating three-dimensional beauty is satisfied in designing living displays of art. She is excited to be able to bring all of that to the Charleston community. When she’s not digging in the dirt, both at work and at home, she enjoys crafts and spending time with her pets and fiance.
