Sam joined the Parks Conservancy in December 2022 as the Development and Marketing Coordinator. With over five years of experience in outdoor retail, he decided to pursue his passion for people and the outdoors in a new direction with the Conservancy. Seeing how the Charleston parks have impacted the local communities, organizations, and his own life, he wanted to be a part of the mission.
An Aiken, South Carolina native, Sam attended Clemson University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management in 2022. Following graduation, Sam moved to West Ashley and was with Half-Moon Outfitters until joining the Conservancy. While not at work, he enjoys fly fishing, music, paddle boarding, quality time with friends, walks, and reading adventure novels.
