Named for the park’s historic heirloom rose collection, the Pavilion serves as a welcoming venue for family celebrations, social gatherings, and community events. As Hampton Park continues to evolve, the Rose Pavilion remains a vibrant hub that connects residents and visitors to the beauty and spirit of this iconic green space.

History In Bloom
The Rose Pavilion, an upscale rustic venue, opened in April 2019. It is nestled in Hampton Park in Downtown Charleston between a picturesque lagoon and iconic moss draped oaks. This outdoor space can accommodate up to 150 guests for an 8 hour event ending by 10pm. Food trucks, oyster roasts and barbecues are popular options for our Lowcountry gem.

Rates and Availability
Monday – Thursday: $2,000.00 (includes access to the space for up to 8 hours)
Friday – Sunday: $3,500.00 (includes access to the space up to 8 hours)
City of Charleston residents are eligible for a 20% discount with proof of residency
Note: Hampton Park is a City of Charleston park and remains open to the public year-round. Mary Murray Drive, which provides access to the Rose Pavilion for guest parking and vendor load-in, is closed to vehicles during the following times:
Saturdays (year-round): 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Tuesdays & Thursdays (March through September): 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
No event deliveries, setup, or guest arrivals/departures can occur during these closure periods.
The Rose Pavilion and all areas of Hampton Park are non-smoking facilities.

Venue Rules and Regulations
- To ensure proper use and care of the Rose Pavilion, we require that you hire an Event Coordinator. Event Coordinator must be a licensed professional and hold the necessary licenses and insurance to operate in the state of South Carolina.
- No fireworks, sparklers or wishing lanterns may be used on the property.
- No inflatables or jump castes.
- No live animals.
- No tents larger than 20’ x 40’.
- No smoking at the Rose Pavilion or inside Hampton Park.
- Candles must be enclosed in glass-shaded holders with heat-protecting bases.
- All wedding send-off items must be environmentally friendly and pre-approved by the Rose Pavilion Venue Manager. (This excludes confetti & rice)
- Nails and staples are not allowed when placing decorations – please use tape, zip ties or floral/ fishing wire. These must be completely removed from the premises at event conclusion.
- Event Coordinator is responsible for providing their own ladders, supplies and set up equipment.
- Any décor/personal/rental items left at the venue must be taken by the Event Coordinator at the end of the evening – no items may be left at the venue overnight.
- The consumption of liquor at the Rose Pavilion is prohibited: beer and wine only.
- If using deep fryers, grills, smokers, etc, they must be placed in the designated area.
- Caterers must provide their own trash cans and bags to be used during the event.
- All rentals are to be properly broken down for same-night pick-up.
- Sweep and mop the floors and wipe down the counters and sink. All trash must be removed from the building and taken off the property.
- At the completion of the event, the Day-Of Venue Manager and Event Coordinator are required to do a walkthrough of the space to ensure there is no damage and that all trash and rentals are removed. Signatures are required to sign off on the post-event walkthrough from both the venue manager and the Event Coordinator as proof of completion. Please note, if the Event Coordinator fails to check out and provide a signature with the Day-of Venue Manager on duty, the Event Coordinator will be charged the total of the security deposit.
