A Charleston Community Garden of Giving

Over the last year, the staff at the Charleston Parks Conservancy has harvested the community vegetable beds at Elliotborough Community Garden in downtown Charleston and donated fresh vegetables to Crisis Ministries. Check out these photos of our staff horticulturist in charge of Elliotborough Community Garden, Kellen Goodell, as he harvested fresh vegetables for Crisis Ministries today.

The Parks Conservancy, with help from the community, is also in the process of creating a new community garden in West Ashley and, over the course of the year, those community vegetable beds will be harvested and items donated to food banks and other organizations that can benefit from fresh vegetables.
