Cephalotaxus harringtonia – Japanese Plum Yew

- Small, coniferous shrub. Spreading growth habit. Like full to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil.

 

Mahonia eurybracteata ‘Soft Caress’ – Soft Caress Mahonia

- Great shade plant. Small evergreen shrub, growing ~2-3 feet tall. Yellow flower clusters in fall give way to blue berries. Like well-drained soil.

 

Lycoris radiata - Hurricane Lily, Spider Lily

- Perennial bulb noted for its bright red flowers atop 1-2 foot stems in September (Hurricane season, one source of its name)

 

Alocasia gageana 'California' - Elephant Ear

- Perennial foliage plant with large, showy leaves. This cultivar has a nice, compact growth habit with a good variation of leaf sizes. Likes mostly shade with some filtered sun.
