Cannon Park is one of Charleston's most visible parks located near the Medical University of South Carolina on Calhoun Street, sandwiched between Rutledge and Ashley avenues. The grassed area is used extensivelly by dog owners and their pets. This is one of the off-leash dog areas during specific times of day. A small playground, shaded by large live oaks, is a welcome spot for children using the park. A sidewalk borders the park, making it a prefect spot to do laps.
