Chapel Street Fountain Park

Chapel Street Fountain Park

Chapel Street Fountain Park is one of the most well know pocket parks on the Peninsula. Located off Meeting Street down from the Charleston Museum, it sits in the triangle of John St., Chapel St. and Elizabeth St. This .2 acre park is small in scale but delivers a restful, peaceful and lush oasis.

The Conservancy has been assisting the City of Charleston's Parks Department in the care of this park since January 2009. New gardens have been added in 2009 and 2010. The Conservancy was also the key facilitator for the improved tree care in this park which started Spring 2010. Chapel St. Fountain Park is a regular spot for Garden in the Parks. Park Angels from inside and outside this community help the Conservancy staff maintain the park plantings.  For a list of plantings found throughout the park, visit Chapel Street Fountain Park Plant List
