Located along the Ashley River next to the Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park, Brittlebank Park has impressive views overlooking the Ashley River. The park is heavily used for events throughout the year becuase of the open nature of the space. The park has a state of the artplayground and a fishing pier with a boat dock.
The Conservancy started working with this park in spring 2009 by doubling the square footage of the existing signage garden. In doing so, the design concepts focused on the native flora at home in a sandy, dry, windblown space readily obvious to all who might be spending time in this park. The park garden is regularly maintained through the Conservancy's Garden in the Parks program Conservancy staff and Park Angels.
