Forest Park Playground, located in West Ashley, is a community park with several recreational opportunities. It contains two tennis courts, two full-sized basketball courts and a baseball/softball field. It is also home to the Joe Griffith Miracle Field, part of The Charleston Miracle League. The indoor playground building and the WL Stephens Aquatic Center provide other recreational opportunities.
The playground building is staffed during certain hours. For more information, call 843-769-8259 or the general recreation line at 843-724-7327.
Playground staffed hours: April-May & September-October, Monday-Friday 4-7 p.m.; November-March, Monday-Friday 3:30-6 p.m., Saturday Noon- 5 p.m.
Restroom are usually available during staffed hours. The WL Stephens Aquatic Center is open all year. Call 843-769-8261 for more information on pool hours, classes and pool fees.
