This city oasis forms a triangular park between Lockwood Boulevard, Hasley Drive and 4th Street. It includes the lake and surrounding waterfront. There are wonderful spots to watch the birds or toss out a line as well as two docks and a boardwalk. This park offers an opportunity to learn about wetlands and their importance through the interpretive signs placed around the lake.

Last Saturday, September 18, Mason Prep School organized and held their annual Alberta Long Lake Sweep. the park is a wonderful place to learn more about wetlands. And we do care about the health of this beuatiful lake and it’s flora and fauna.

The annual Alberta Long Lake Sweep organized by Mason Prep School was a big success! There were 85 volunteers and 65 bags of trash picked up from the banks of the lake. Some pruning of the overgrown vegetation was also accomplished.
