The Charleston Parks Conservancy's second annual Teddy Bear Picnic will be Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 at Hampton Park. Children are invited to dress up their teddy bears and bring them, along with their parents, grandparents and friends! Enjoy many activities including crown making, seed planting, arts and crafts, a dunking booth and a parade.
Sol Driven Train will perform songs from its Tajar Tracks albums. Refreshments will be available for purchase from our food vendors Papa Johns Pizza and Mr. Koolie Ice Cream, and visit the Baby Bear Sweet Shoppe for a variety of cookies, candy and drinks.
Don't miss a chance to win the Mama Bear Basket including a manicure and pedicure from Nail Palace, a car wash from In and Out Car Wash and an Adult Hula Hoop from Homespun Hoops, or the Papa Bear Basket with a fabulous iPad!

Whether you like to blow bubbles or just pop them, visit the bubble factory and you will be all smiles.
Crown making for all our Princes and Princesses! Using ribbon, tulle and a little help from our royal advisors, each child will create a crown for our Teddy Bear Parade.
Step right up to dunk Goldilocks (she did break Baby Bear’s chair) and other bad guys.
Flag and Banners
Kids help us create the official Teddy Bear Picnic parade banner and create their own flags to carry as we parade around Hampton Park.
Homespun Hoops will have experts on hand to teach us the fun of hula hooping as well as have their hand crafted hoops for sale!
Youth Park T-shirts
Youth Park t-shirts are available for sale at the Teddy Bear Picnic for $15. Proceeds from the sales of the t-shirts help the Conservancy fund programs such as Park Renovations, Park Beautification, Education (classes and online resources) and community events like the Teddy Bear Picnic. There are two fabulous designs to choose from so stop by the Conservancy's tent on Sunday, buy a great t-shirt and help support your parks!
