Master will assist with promotional materials and will help plan and implement the Conservancy’s participation in community events like the Cooper River Bridge Run Expo and South Carolina Green Fair.

Master is a homemaker and former playground and apparatus designer/manufacturer, plant manager and furniture store merchant. He lives on Rutledge Avenue overlooking Colonial Lake.

• Why did you want to be a Lead Park Angel? To introduce others to the Conservancy and city parks.

• Favorite horticultural spots: Charleston peninsula, College of Charleston campus, Waterfront Park and Middleton Place.

• What is one thing you’ve learned from working with the Conservancy? The scope of opportunity.

• Favorite hour of the day/why: Sunrise – it signifies hope and opportunity.

• Best Charleston park and why: Waterfront Park. It has a quiet vitality.

• Favorite flower/plant: Giant yellow marigold.

• If you could inscribe something on a park bench what would it say? Welcome.

• Why should someone become a Park Angel and volunteer for the Conservancy? To meet new people and make a difference.
