Evans will assist with the Conservancy website and social media efforts as well as help plan and implement Conservancy participation in area events and evaluate opportunities for community awareness.

Evans is an attorney with Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP and lives in West Ashley.

• Why did you want to be a Lead Park Angel? Promote health and vibrancy of Charleston area parks.

• Favorite garden, park or horticulture space: Tie-Luxembourg Garden in Paris and Central Park in New York City.

• One thing you learned from working with the Conservancy: The identity and location of parks I did not know existed!

• Favorite hour of the day and why: 6-7 p.m. I am done with work and walk the dogs on the fabulous West Ashley Greenway.

• Best Charleston park and why: Hampton Park – great trails, beautiful flowers, dog park.

• Favorite flower/plant: Rosemary and peonies.

• If you could inscribe something on a park bench what would it say? Dawdle.

• Why should someone become a Park Angel and volunteer for the Conservancy? Easy/flexible for varying schedules, promote needed green spaces.
