I was out at Hampton Park on Sunday for the very successful 1st Annual Teddy Bear Picnic and had a chance to wander and look at the floral displays. The one plant that knocked my socks off was the Lion's Tail, Leonotis leonarius.
I have never seen such healthy examples of this plants potential in the garden. From growing this in my own garden, I know this plant likes it on the dry side in full blazing sun. It is obviously very happy, now 5' high and something to write home to mother about.
If nothing more, go check it out at the Park and let me know what you think about it. It certainly is a greast time of year to get back outside and enjoy the cool weather!

I love that plant and I think I ahve had it but it was in a wet area and did not come back. Would love some to try in a dry spot.
