The first on my list of parks to document - I am amazed by the number of parks in the city - and how little I know about them - the journey begins today!

With Moultrie moving along at heightened speed, can we think outside box? Current plan short changes tennis, dogs and the playground. What if we put 6-8 tennis courts on horse lot with their assumed fencing. Dogs could be fenced out not in for a great dog site that would be supported by Murry Condos who use it for dogs only. We would then extend center field of the existing baseball field into a multiuse open space and better link with a now bigger playground. When folks come to throw frisbee, play pickup ball, worship the sun, etc they do so as much for the social interaction which is what this Park should be. Tennis players come to play tennis but they like like to be a part of a whole and not split up like current plan which puts 2 courts in isolation and in what sailors call dirty air that swirls around condos. Elevating courts would take care of flooding and soccer and rugby groups would have a much safer surface to play upon. (If Ruggers want mud we could make a separate mud bath) Dog owners now don’t feel left out of plan. They now can leash in main Park and unleash at the Tennis-Horse lot. Be sure and close the gate when you go onto the court - Fido may retrieve your serve.
