Girl Power Saves the Day at Elliotborough Park

Girls Planting at Elliotborough Park

Girl power ushered in the latest floral planting at Elliotborough Park last week. This group of neighborhood girls just happened to be hanging in the park when Paul and I were getting ready for the Double Dig event that evening. Time came to plant and they looked like they had plenty of energy to do the job. And so they did!  Within an hour we had both beds planted and looking fantastic.  Each budding gardener had their own special way of planting.  We gave initial instruction and then reminded them as the planting continued.  I have to admit, I had a blast. They were so much fun to be around and really seemed to have a good time. Of the group, maybe one had ever planted anything before.

The excitement was visible in their flittering about the garden talking about what they had done and who they were going to grab to see it.  Before we had gone home, several of their mothers were pulled over into the park to see the new flowers.  Ownership is going to be one of the keys to the gardens success. Now we need to teach a few of them to water!

Awesome! Thanks Jim for all of your help and initiative in helping build a park in Cannonborough-Elliotborough. Every night when I come home from work, there are children playing in the park and exploring the community garden. That’s what kids should be doing!

This is great! They look so happy and proud of their work. Let’s try to recruit more. Good job Jim and Paul.

Uggla is a great sell high candidate right now, but it will be impossible to do a 1 4 1 trade for a guy like utley.  You sould be better off trading uggla and ordonez for utley and one of his 2nd tier OF.. . Most people shy away from position for position trades, especially guys that they drafted with their first round pick.  It makes them think they drafted poorly. Woah.. . Ebay is ripping you off!. I assume you want the tall ones. Those are 180. Whoever posted 175- is just 5 dollars less!. Get the short ones first. Those are around 140-160…..depending on style. . . . Or get bearpaws if you want. Some people thinks it’s better than UGG’s.. . Or wait till Christmas,...... . I had tall uggs since i was in fourth grade. They stopped fitting me when i turned 12. So i had them for about 3-4 years.. . UGG’s are a good investment, however. I’m not sure about Bearpaws.. . UGGS DO NOT COME IN HALF SIZES. IF YOU SEE A WEBSITE THAT DOES SELL THEM IN HALF SIZES, THEY ARE FAKE.. . And they tend to run big as well. So i would get a 9.. . Get them early…..Ugg’s sell out really quick in the fall and winter.. . . EDIT: Okay, the tall UGG’s are 180. I assume you want those? Are some other style? It’s just 5 dollars less! I mean go ahead if you want, but i wouldn’t do it. i have a pair of ugg boots myself. wen u wear jeans tuck your jeans in the boot. if you find tucking in your jeans hard then try buying skinny leg jeans. .its alot more easier. alot of people think you can only wear ugg boots during winter but thats not really true cuz u can wear them wit skirts and shorts too. it looks really cute. you said u think ur legs are fat but that shouldnt bother you that much cuz it doesnt really matter wat others might think. oh yeah i almost forgot. . try to wear ur ugg boots wit socks cuz it feels better to me than witout socks <a >cheap UGG boots outlet</a>
Anyones guess…. You can buy fake uggs for cheap almost anywhere <a >UGG Classic Short Paisley</a>
Chocolateeeeeeee Note: Sorry about the long read—I wanted to give a good, thorough answer. Please read all of it, the Uggs ARE counterfeits and I guarantee you’ll be sorry if you ignore my answer. I was nearly tricked a while ago by a similar counterfeit site, but luckily, I did a lot of research and have been able to find many great deals on genuine Uggs. . . This website sells fake Uggs. If you look up the site’s whois on Domaintools, you’ll see that the site was just created this year and the owner is located in China and has listed a fake address. Plus, I typed supplyuggs.com into UGG Australia’s Counterfeit Look-up box and a little window popped up, telling me that the site was a known counterfeit website. It doesn’t matter whether or not they look real enough. The photos could have been stolen from another site selling genuine Uggs or edited to look real. So, you cannot tell just by looking to see if the UGG Australia logo is stitched onto the backs of the boots. Counterfeiters also stitch on logos, too—they’re a bit different, but since you can’t zoom in on the photos and receive a clear image, you can’t tell. Also, I’ve never seen the cheetah/leopard-print Bailey Buttons shown on this site at legit retailers or UGG Australia. Anyway, counterfeit Uggs look fake most of the time and are made out of synthetic materials of poor quality, causing them to fall apart easily. Plus, they could be confiscated at Customs if an official discovers that they are counterfeits and you would be forced to pay a fine. Also, it would be nearly impossible to return the Uggs since the owner of the site would probably not respond to your emails, give you a fake address, etc. He/she could also charge you extra money since when you order, you have to give them your credit card number, etc. In the end, you would probably be wishing you had just bought Uggs off of UGGAustralia.com, even if they cost $50-$100 more. . .  If you want to save some money on Uggs, but want genuine ones, check out UGG Australia’s list of authorized retailers. Even though they all sell Uggs for the same price as UGG Australia, you could look them up on RetailMeNot.com to see if there are any coupon/promo codes for the stores/sites that offer free shipping, discounts, free samples, etc. Sign up for their newsletters, emails from the websites might also help you find good deals. Also, you could search for UGG retailers near you on UGG Australia and also look up the stores that come up on RetailMeNot. That’ll save you shipping and handling fees and you’ll actually be able to see the Uggs in person (check online for pictures of genuine Uggs vs. counterfeits so it’ll be easier to tell if the Uggs are real). NEVER purchase Uggs from a website with deals that seem too good to be true (then they usually are too good to be true—any boots under $100) and are located in China (check the whois on Domaintools). Counterfeit Ugg sites usually have “Ugg”, “Cardy”, etc—if you see a suspicious site, look it up on UGG Australia’s Counterfeit Look-up—if the results show that the site is a scam, stay away. Or, if they have no records of the site, be careful, look them up on BBB and Domaintools and ask lots of questions. in their name. If you come across a site that has a legit address, but is not an authorized retailer, see if the site is registered with the BBB (Better Business Bureau—they work to prevent counterfeit products) and email the customer support, asking them questions like: “Are you registered with the BBB?”, “What is your return policy if your product turns out to be a variant”, and “Why aren’t you an authorized UGG retailer?”, etc. Then you should know whether or not the site is safe and has genuine Uggs. 6pm.com is a good website to purchase Uggs from. They’re registered with the BBB and have huge sales sometimes (the Uggs go fast though). Sheepskinshoes.com is having some sales right now and if you spend a certain amount (at least $125), you’ll get free shipping and free gifts like insoles, keychains, and even sheepskin slippers! Also, be careful if ordering Uggs from eBay, Craiglist, etc.—many of the Uggs are fake—I wouldn’t recommend it. . . Hope this helps. Good luck! Links are listed in my . “Source(s)” box. . . Note: If you don’t care about whether or not your Uggs are genuine, then you could get some cheaper “copies” at Payless, American Eagle, Bearpaw (Bearpaw’s boots are made out of genuine sheepskin and shearling, just like Uggs and Sheepskinshoes.com also sells them), etc—the quality is better than ordering fake Uggs from a China-based retailer claiming that he/she has genuine Uggs. Sorry I can’t include any more links—I already reached my limit of ten. Well I have the iPhone 4 and love it….but I also love all 6 pair of my Ugg boots and the Ugg skimmers too. I can’t help you decide, but I will tell you this, there is a rumor that the iPhone5 is coming out this summer ugg fluff momma fur boots ugg classic cardy 5819 uggs for sale in uk ugg flip flops with fur ugg prices china ugg fluffie flip flops womens lipstick red ugg hayden size 3 ugg kensington boot olive vegan ugg style boots ugg boots discount code ugg sneakers and rain shoes ugg for kids cheap ugg veanna boot pink ugg mules ugg factory outlet sydney ugg sneakers men big kids uggs ugg australia classic tall boot gray
