Halle Lipov is having her Bat Mitzvah at the Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim (KKBE) Temple on Hasel Street this Saturday. As part of her Bat Mitzvah ceremony and celebration Halle perfomed a service project last Saturday, matching her overall theme of Reduce Reuse Recycle. She held a major clean up of Brittlebank Park and River Sweep to clean all of the trash and litter out of Brittlebank Park, and the surrounding marsh and waterways.

I hope that you all had a chance to see Tony Bertauski??????s article, "Cash in on Gardening at Hampton Park" in this past Sunday??????s Post and Courier. He is right, Hampton Park is a wonderful place to see some of the many wonderful plants we can grow here in the Lowcountry. Stroll the pathways and all kinds of flowers you would have found in grandma??????s yard are in full bloom right now.

With the gorgeous weather that we've had this past week, I was finally was able to get out in my yard to cut back all of the brown stalks, mush, and dead twigs that were driving me crazy. I was out doing a spring tease!
